Bob Murdoch commenced providing insurances services in 1950 as a Sole Adviser. In 1983 David, Bob’s son joined him and two years later took over the day to day running of the business. Bob continued to service clients until he retired in 2002. Over time the business grew from a single person to a partnership known as Murdoch Insurance Agencies. In recent times due to the expansion of client services, increased staff to twelve and obtaining an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) No 247118 Murdoch InsureInvest Pty Ltd was formed in 2003. Even with the loss of Bob’s 53 years experience we can still boast 166 years experience in the Financial Services Industry.
Since commencement, the success of the business has been achieved by forming close relationships and helping people with their insurance and investment needs. Management believe that staff numbers and their knowledge is of utmost importance to give good advice without the pressures of excessive workloads.
We are uniquely positioned in the market place as we are accepted as local country people which attracts clients in our area. We are also successful with city clients by our professionalism, quality of advice and old fashioned, personalised country service standards.

David Murdoch
Company Director
David’s career began as a teller with the National Bank at Murray Bridge in 1974. In 1977 he moved to Goodyear as an Assistant Manager. Since entering in to the insurance business with his father Bob Murdoch (who started in the insurance industry in 1950) in 1983, he has successfully developed the business increasing staff numbers to twelve to provide a high level of service to his valued clients. The organisation provides advice on Commercial, Domestic Insurance and Risk Insurance and Financial Planning.
Also during this time David has successfully completed a Diploma with the Australian Insurance Institute (1989), Tier 1 (2001) and Diploma of Financial Services (2002) with Integratec.
David has lived in Murray Bridge all his life. David is married with three adult daughters and conducts a very active and preferred insurance and financial planning practice.
David has been actively involved in model car racing since 1982. David was fortunate to compete in the world titles in Switzerland in 2005. David is a keen motor sport fan following all forms of racing especially V8 super cars around the country including the yearly pilgrimage to Bathurst.
